Admission Policy
Admission to Raffles Institute of Higher Education is opened to all individuals regardless of sex, race, religion or nationality. Selection for admissions is based on an overall assessment of the individual's potential and merits with the following guidelines. Please contact one of our Education Consultants for more information.
Entry Requirements
Applicants are required to have the GCE O/L exam passed in 3 subjects including English or have equivalent secondary school qualifications to this level. Applicants are also required to attend an interview with one of our education consultants, where they need to demonstrate their creative abilities and their proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Raffles Institute of Higher Education (RIHE) reserves the right to evaluate and consider applicants who do not meet the usual minimal entry requirements for admission but who, in the opinion of RIHE, are able to demonstrate an 'equivalent' Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) entry level for admission onto any Advanced Diploma course.
Application Checklist
- Duly completed application form
- Three (3) passport size photographs
- Copy of Applicant's National Identity Card or Passport
- Copies of Applicant's latest educational transcripts and certificates
- A relevant portfolio: 3 - 5 representative samples of your recent creative work that reflects the range of your creative skills and potential. These can be any media e.g. digital images, paintings, drawings, sketches or workbooks;
OR:
- A 500-word essay outlining relevant background, experience, and interests as well as career goals
- Upon admission, an application fee would be payable.
Intake
There are four intakes in a year. The terms commence every January, April, July and October.
